No open-banking connection, no SMS permission, no credentials. You hand the app the file your bank already gives you, and it reads it on the phone — including scans, through on-device text recognition.

The app works with the internet switched off
Your ledger is a database file on your phone. Nothing has to leave it for the app to do its job — no account, no upload, no third party reading your statement.
Transactions, budgets and rules live in a database on the device. Offline is the normal mode, not a fallback.

The app never asks for internet-banking logins or reads your messages. It reads a file you chose to hand it.
A PIN stored as a slow one-way hash, fingerprint or face unlock, and a lockout that lengthens after repeated failures.
Signed-in sync is scoped to your own user, and switching accounts clears the previous one's data from the device.
